LTC appoints two new board members

Cher Pao Vang and Michael Grubich have been appointed to Lakeshore Technical College's District Board.

Their terms began July 1 and expire June 30, 2012. Vang and Grubich join board members Cindy Huhn, Roy Kluss, Jerry Voechting, Nancy Crowley, Jutta Furca, John Lukas and Joe Sheehan, who was reappointed to the board this year.

The board also voted this month to elect new officers. Kluss now serves as chairman, Lukas is vice chairman and Voechting is secretary/treasurer.

Vang is a skills training specialist at the Hmong Mutual Assistance Association of Sheboygan. He has held that position for two years.

Vang previously served for six years as a small business developer and career counselor with the same organization. Vang is involved with the Senior Center Commission Board, the Hmong Conservation Outreach and a high school parents' support group.

He also hosts HMAA's radio program and teaches hunter safety and Hmong literacy classes.

Grubich serves as director of talent development and diversity at the Kohler Co.

He has held that position for more than four years. He previously served as director of human resources for Jockey International and assistant manager of the retail division at Six Flags Theme Parks.

Sheehan has served on LTC's District Board since July 1, 2006.

He has been superintendent of the Sheboygan Area School District for 11 years.

Genske joins Burkart-Heisdorf Agency
Burkart-Heisdorf Insurance Agency in Sheboygan has announced that Sheila Genske has joined the agency as a life and health customer service representative.

Genske was previously employed by Community Bank & Trust and has more than 14 years working in the information technology field.

Johnsonville Sausage adds three to staff
Johnsonville Sausage has announced the addition of three new employees: Jaclyn Aperi, Melissa Braesch and Amy Plate.

Aperi will serve as a consumer and business insights analyst with Johnsonville's strategic insights and analytics team. Aperi recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a masters in business administration focused in market research.

During her time at UW-Madison, Aperi completed an Internship with Kraft Foods.



Braesch joined Johnsonville's organizational development and learning team as a learning coordinator for enterprise systems. Braesch previously worked at Community Bank & Trust, in Sheboygan, where she was training and development director.

Braesch lives in Sheboygan with her husband, Matthew, and children, Marcus and Roman.

Plate will work as a co-pack cost analyst with Johnsonville's finance team. She will be responsible for supporting the co-pack team doing costing, reporting and process improvement. Plate comes to Johnsonville from Tecumseh.

Plate lives in Howards Grove with her husband, Steve, and children, Alex, Jessica and Natalie.

Sargento Foods makes management moves
Sargento Foods Inc. has announced the retirement of Dick Williamson and the promotion of Mike McEvoy within the food ingredients division.

Williamson will be retiring from his position as vice president of sales for food ingredients after more than 28 years with Sargento.

Williamson joined Sargento in 1981 as a regional sales manager. Since then, he has served in roles including vice president of sales for food service; vice president of sales for specialty foods and divisional sales manager. Williamson also received the Sargento Founder's Ring in 2007.

McEvoy has been appointed to succeed Williamson after he retires. Through November, McEvoy and Williamson will serve together for a transition period.

For the past two years, McEvoy has served as the vice president of Portionables Integration. He has also served as general manager of Portionables over the past year, with direct supervision of operations, accounting and human resources.

Since joining Sargento, McEvoy has had several assignments in the areas of transportation, manufacturing, promotion management and marketing. McEvoy earned his master's degree from Cardinal Stritch University and his bachelor's degree from St. Norbert College.
