St. Paul man killed in drive-by shooting

Just after 2 a.m. officers were notified and found an unresponsive man, slumped in the driver seat of his vehicle on the 1200 block of Beech Street.

The victim, a 23 year old man from St. Paul was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim's name is being withheld pending full notification of next of kin.

Police say that moments after the victim and another passenger pulled up to a house on Beech Street, they were fired on by the suspects from another car.

No suspects have been identified. Police do not believe that this was a random shooting. Anyone with information relative to the identity and/or whereabouts of the perpetrator(s) of or witnesses to this murder is asked to call the St. Paul Police Department at 651-291-1111
