SAINT PAUL, Minn. - St. Paul police officers found a 23-year-old man shot to death in his vehicle in St. Paul Sunday morning.
The man was found in his car at 1200 block of Beech Street around 2 a.m.
Officers found an unresponsive man, slumped in the driver seat of his vehicle. St. Paul Fire paramedics responded and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
The victim was a Hmong man from St. Paul. His name has not been released.
The preliminary investigation indicates that the victim, who also had a front seat passenger that was not injured, pulled up to the front of a house in the 1200 block of Beech Street. Moments after stopping and before the driver and passenger got out of the car, another vehicle, pulled up to the victim’s car and fired multiple shots.
No suspects have been identified. The motive for the shooting remains a focus of investigators, although it is not believed to be random.
